GUARANTEES
We are official stockists for all of our watch brands, and all of our watches are covered by the official manufacturer's guarantee. This means you can be confident that, in the event of a malfunction, your watch will be fixed and restored to its original function quickly and efficiently by the original manufacturers. We strongly recommend that you read the guarantee to inform you what is and what is not covered.
If you do have any problems with your watch the quickest and most efficient course of action is to return it direct to the manufacturer with your manufacturers guarantee card, outlining the general problem. You are also welcome to return it to us and we will pass it on to the manufacturer on your behalf for assessment and where necessary, repair.
If your watch does stop working, as an official dealer we will also provide you with full support. This is added peace of mind to your official manufacturer's guarantee.
Please note that accidental damage is not covered by your manufacturer's guarantee.
WATER RESISTANCE
Customers often ask what the stated water resistance of watches actually means. This section aims to clarify the terms used by the manufacturers.
A common misunderstanding is that a watch with 100m on the dial can be used to dive to a depth of 100m. This is not the case as the 100m refers to static pressure and not the actual depth of water it will work to.
100 metres means the pressure experienced if it was static at 100 metres depth. When a watch is moving the pressure rises well above the static pressure. The water resistance limits can be reached in shallow depths for example if you dive into a swimming pool the pressure changes rapidly and this can be enough to exceed the limits of some water resistant standards.
Below are some explanations of common water resistance standards:
Water resistant means splash proof. Can withstand slight splashes and moisture in general daily activities but should NOT to be immersed in water.
30 metres / 3 ATM - Protected against Water splashes, Rain, submerged in small amounts of water.
50 metres / 5 ATM - can be submerged in water for surface swimming.
100 metres / 10 ATM - suitable for swimming and shallow diving including water sports.
200 metres / 20 ATM - suitable for scuba diving - not deep sea.
The majority of Rotary watches now have Dolphin standard. This means they can be used in all water activities except deep sea diving. This is an innovative concept from Rotary and means you can wear your dress watch (even models which feature stone set bezels, delicate bracelets or ultra slim cases) with the confidence that water will not enter the watch.
There are watches available specifically for deep sea diving. A range of Divers watches from Citizen are available on our site.
If you have the battery in your watch changed, please ensure your jeweller checks the pressure to ensure it is still suitable to wear at the water pressure stated.
WATCH BRACELET ADJUSTMENT
When purchasing a watch with a metal bracelet we can adjust the bracelet to fit at no extra cost before sending it out to you. Simply contact us with the size required and we will adjust the bracelet before we send it. Any links we remove will be enclosed in the box with the purchase.
You can measure your wrist size with a tape measure or piece of string; alternatively you could measure an old watch if you have one.
Alternatively you can have it adjusted by a local jewellers shop. Most jewellers should be able to perform this service for a small fee.
We will do our best to try to get the measurement precise however this is not always possible with a simple wrist measurement. You may need to have the watch further adjusted by a local jeweller. As our initial adjustment service is free we do not offer any compensation for any further adjustments needed.
